My name is Jesús Manuel Márquez Rivera <JmMr> and I am 33 years old. Although my studies were not on the path of computer science, that’s not why I stopped feeling it as the main interest for free time and something else. Above all, what we might call the hidden history of the Internet and computers.

I distorted the photo a bit by that of healthy paranoia;)

I am currently working with MS-DOS, Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000 Professional and several Linux distributions: RedHat 7.3, Mandrake 8.2 and I am starting to introduce myself in Debian Woody and OpenBSD, but with peace of mind. Debian is the one I’ll use at the end. Just to test them 🙂 The fascinating Spectrum, Amiga and Mac I use only in emulators.

Among my computer passions are Linux, cryptography and issues of security and (in) computer security. Actually I’m interested in almost everything: programming, viruses and worms, operating system emulators, eastern superspectrums , etc. Studying the code of a good virus is like checking the chess game of a teacher.

In addition to the articles on hackers, some technical ones will soon appear, which are part of a larger project in which I have been working for several years: a manual on hacking and a “real” guide to get to know the world of the computer underground. Soon I will upload more information about this and some chapters. The book will be free and I hope you like it. If I lose my head I’ll publish here some fictional story about hackers.

By the way, I am not a hacker nor do I presume to be a hacker, although I would like it (in the old sense of the term, of course). I am content to investigate and disclose. Of course, if it were, I would not say it either, would it? 🙂
